  • Organized in 1796 in New York City

  • Known as the Freedom Church - Birthplace of African Independence

  • Organized by African descendants to insure spiritual freedom, social/economic/political emancipation and new life in the spirit of Christ without regard for race, creed, color, sex or national origin

  • We raise our spiritual witness educationally: Livingstone College - Salisbury, North Carolina; Hood Theological Seminary - Salisbury, North Carolina; Clinton Junior College - Rock Hill, South Carolina; Lomax-Hannon Junior College - Greenville, Alabama; A.M.E. Zion University - Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa; Hood Speaks Theological Seminary - Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria

  • We raise our spiritual witness through missions in: Guyana, Trinidad-Tobago, Barbados, Jamaica, Bahamas, India, England, Nigeria, Liberia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, and South Africa

  • We raise our spiritual witness through local churches across the United States, Caribbean, and Africa with ministries that meet needs
